Fitness the Board Game

Fitness the Board Game Rules
Players 1-as many as you like!
Age: 7-100
Print out the Board game found in the document container at the bottom of this webpage or create your own.
Choose any object for your game piece.
You will need 1 Dice.   If you do not have dice visit this website: https://www.random.org/dice/
Be the first to get around the board!  Perform the exercise that you land on.

To make it back to start you must roll the exact amount of spaces to land on Start. (For example, If you are 2 spots away from Start you must roll a 2.  If you do not, you do not move that round and repeat the exercise you are currently on)

My board was made using 26 Squares. Below are the squares I made:

Everybody Dance Now!

What kind of exercise is dancing?
Dance is a great form of exercise because it provides you with both aerobic and anaerobic movements. Our bodies need a combination of both types of exercise in order to be at their healthiest. In dance, aerobic exercise can be achieved by jumping, swaying, twirling. Dancing is a whole-body workout that's actually fun. It's good for your heart, it makes you stronger, and it can help with balance and coordination. A 30-minute dance class burns between 130 and 250 calories, about the same as jogging. Try some of the dances linked below and have fun!  Dance like no one is watching!

Good Morning or Afternoon Boys and Girls!

Just because we are not in school does not mean that you should just be sitting around watching tv, playing video games, and eating junk food.  Remember, it is important to exercise every day, drink lots of water, and eat a rainbow.  Please complete at least 30 minutes of activities every day.  I have provided some examples of activities that you can do while you are out.  Have a great day and I will see you all when we return to school!  Should you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me at dsexton@bellmawrschools.org

    1. How many sit ups can you do in 1 minute.
    2. How many push ups can you do in 1 minute.
    3. How many jumping jacks can you do in 1 minute.
    4. Can you hold a plank for 1 minute.
    5. Walk like a crab for 1 minute.
    6. Walk like a bear for 1 minute.
    7. Balance on one foot for 1 minute.
    8. Find a line.How many times can you jump back and forth over that line in 1 minute.
    9. Find a line.Get in a push up position.Walk your hands (Feet do not move) over that line as many times as you can in 1 minute.
    10. Get a partner from your house and try push up pattycakes.Face one another in a push up position. When the time starts try slapping each others hands as you switch hands back and forth.How many patty cakes can you get in 1 minute.
    11. Perform a wall sit for 1 minute.
